Malia Kahananui
Kumu Kakoʻo – Kamaliʻi
aka “Pied Piper”

“Malia shares her love for mele with the keiki and they love to sing along with her and her ‘ukulele.”

“Ma hea ʻo ʻAnakē Malia?” the keiki of Papa Nāhiku ask. “Ma ka Papa Kūmau!” Malia is our newest crew member and she brings so much energy to the kula! You’ll find her playing alongside keiki outdoors and playing her ʻukulele. I am thankful to practice my ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi with her and grow as a speaker.

“Always willing to kōkua her kula ʻohana.  Its a joy to watch her interact with the keiki on kahua pāʻani, keiki love her!”

“Malia loves the keiki! When she plays the ‘ukulele all of the keiki get excited and enjoy her live music and singing. She is supportive and caring of her students.”

“Malia plays with keiki! Such a great attribute for a kumu! She shares her aloha with colleagues and keiki and uplifts everyone she comes into contact with.”
