“Pehea kou na‘au?” (How are you feeling?) As adults, we don’t often pause to check in on our na‘au, and asking a keiki is even more rare!
“Na‘au checks” are a special way teachers (kumu) connect with each other and their haumāna (students).
This pahu waiwai invites keiki to ask themselves, “What is my na‘au feeling?” Recognizing and naming emotions, then sharing them, can be tricky. Through this hands-on ha‘awina, keiki have fun exploring their feelings and how those feelings impact the world around them.
